The CBC Health Services, through the Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SEEPD) Program, is inviting applications from eligible and qualified teachers who are visually impaired or have severe low vision to participate in a training workshop. The training will focus on basic computer skills, ICT, and Assistive Technology, and is organized within the context of the Inclusive Education Project implemented in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
CUAPWD, as the umbrella organization of persons with disabilities, is encouraging everyone who is qualified and meets the criteria to apply. We are in the digital age, and this training seeks to strengthen your ICT and assistive technology skills for teachers with visual impairments so that they can work more independently and effectively in lesson preparation, classroom delivery, assessment, record-keeping, learner feedback, and support to students with visual impairments.

๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ง๐ฎ๐: The training will take place at the Regional Inclusive Education Resource Centre, located at Government Bilingual High School (GBHS), Bamenda.
๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ฎ๐ฅ๐: 5 weeks (Tuesday, July 21,2026, to Saturday, August 23, 2026) from 8:00 AM -2:00 PM daily.

Applicants must be ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ซ๐ฌ who are visually impaired or have severe Low Vision and who experience significant difficulty accessing ordinary printed learning materials.
Applicants must additionally meet the following conditions:
- Be a teacher currently teaching in a recognized Government or Private Secondary School.
- Be willing and available to attend the full duration of the training.
- Be willing to participate actively in practical sessions, online mentorship, and follow-up activities
- Be able to provide their own accommodation for the duration of the in-person training.
- Owning a laptop will be an added advantage.
Applicants are encouraged to bring along their smartphones and any technological device they use on a daily basis for schoolwork, such as a laptop, tablet, audio player, Braille device, or any other assistive technology device.
