The CBC Health Services, through the Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SEEPD) Program, is inviting applications from eligible and qualified teachers who are visually impaired or have severe low vision to participate in a training workshop. The training will focus on basic computer skills, ICT, and Assistive Technology, and is organized within the context of the Inclusive Education Project implemented in the Northwest Region of Cameroon.
CUAPWD, as the umbrella organization of persons with disabilities, is encouraging everyone who is qualified and meets the criteria to apply. We are in the digital age, and this training seeks to strengthen your ICT and assistive technology skills for teachers with visual impairments so that they can work more independently and effectively in lesson preparation, classroom delivery, assessment, record-keeping, learner feedback, and support to students with visual impairments.

- Be willing and available to attend the full duration of the training.
- Be willing to participate actively in practical sessions, online mentorship, and follow-up activities
- Be able to provide their own accommodation for the duration of the in-person training.
- Owning a laptop will be an added advantage.

Leave No One Behind (LNOB4) Project
The Coordinating Unit of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (CUAPWD), through sustained advocacy under the Phase 4 โ Leave No One Behind (LNOB4) project (supported by Christian Blind Mission โ CBM), has secured firm commitments from several humanitarian and development organizations in the North West and South West Regions to provide internship and volunteering openings specifically for qualified persons with disabilities.
The goal is to transition trained and qualified persons with disabilities from being seen only as beneficiaries to becoming active contributors in the humanitarian and development sector.
Who Can Apply?
We are looking for motivated candidates who meet the following minimum criteria:
- Holder of a National Disability Card
- Relevant qualification or demonstrated skills in any field (administration, communication, ICT, social work, education, WASH, protection, livelihoods, etc.)
- At least basic computer literacy (Word, Excel, email, internet)
- Strong motivation to gain professional experience in the humanitarian/development sector
- Willingness to accept reasonable accommodations offered by host organizations
- Resident or able to commute to Bamenda, Buea, or nearby areas (depending on the opportunity)

Position: Secretary โ CUAPWD South West Regional Bureau
The Coordinating Unit of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (CUAPWD) is recruiting a dynamic, committed, and organised individual for the position of Secretary at the South West Regional Bureau.
Location: CUAPWD South West Regional Bureau, same premises as the Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture, Buea, South West Region, Cameroon
Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Regional Coordinator and bureau team
- Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone calls
- Schedule and organise meetings, workshops, and field missions
- Take minutes, prepare reports, and maintain proper filing (both physical and electronic)
- Assist with logistics for events and travel arrangements
- Support membership registration and database management
- Ensure the office is clean, organised, and welcoming for all visitors
Minimum Requirements:
- Holder of an HND in Secretariat Studies, Office Management, Administration, or any related field
- At least one (1) year of proven experience in a similar secretarial/administrative role

- Background
The Coordinating Unit of Associations of Persons with Disabilities (CUAPWD), a network of 157 organizations representing persons with disabilities across Cameroon, is implementing the Phase 4 โ Leave No One Behind (LNOB4) project, in partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM). The LNOB4 project builds on the successes of LNOB3, which strengthened OPD capacities for meaningful participation in humanitarian coordination, resulting in a disability-inclusive Humanitarian Response Plan (HRP) 2024. Activity 3.4.4 focuses on enhancing CUAPWD staffโs project management, humanitarian response, and resource mobilization skills to lead disability-inclusive humanitarian action in Cameroon.
CUAPWD seeks to engage a qualified consultant to conduct a comprehensive staff capacity assessment to identify operational and skills gaps. The assessment will inform a tailored training curriculum, enabling CUAPWD to strengthen its role in humanitarian coordination and enhance sustainability.
- Objectives of the Consultancy
The consultant will:
- Assess the competencies of CUAPWD staff in project management, humanitarian response, advocacy, and resource mobilization.
- Identify operational gaps to inform capacity-building strategies.
- Use assessment findings to shape the staff capacity-building workshop curriculum and facilitate key sessions.
- Deliver a detailed report with actionable recommendations to enhance CUAPWDโs effectiveness in disability-inclusive humanitarian action.

- Use tools like SWOT analysis to identify gaps in skills and operational systems
- Analyze CUAPWDโs organizational documents and past project reports for context.
- Produce a comprehensive report with findings, recommendations, and anonymized data.
- Adapt the training curriculum based on assessment findings to address specific gaps.

Essential:

- Strong skills in mixed-method research (surveys, interviews, focus groups).

Responsible for ensuring the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the CBM-supported project Leave No One Behind 4 from implementation to final evaluation, including reporting and advocating for mainstreaming of disabilities into UN Agencies, INGOs, and NNGOs (Leading OPD assessments /training of humanitarian actors in the target area on disability inclusion). Oversee CUAPWD office portfolio compliance with disability Inclusion standards, build local and national networks/platforms for inclusion practices, and train and participate in humanitarian cluster meetings in the Northwest region.
2. Main Tasks
โข Strengthen CUAPWD and other key stakeholders to ensure disability-inclusive program planning and implementation.
โข Advocate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the Northwest, including the government, on mainstreaming disability alongside OPDs.
โข Monitor and document evidence of disability inclusion for the Leave No One Behind Phase 4 project in Cameroon.
โข In collaboration with the Leave No One Behind Phase 4 project Coordinator, ensure that data collection from the LNOB4 project is disaggregated by disability and advise CUAPWD accordingly.
โข Regular update of all project plans to ensure adherence to CBMโs disability inclusion standards.
โข Provide training and mentoring with selected OPDs and stakeholders, along with systematic follow-up to ensure learning gained in training is applied in practice.
โข Support and participate in other activities and evaluations, including terms of reference (ToR) development, evaluation, and make recommendations for decision-making
3. Reporting:
โข Monitoring/progress reporting according to donor requirements
โข Collect and analyze data on the participation and inclusion of persons with disabilities.
โข Prepare project briefs, reports, and presentations as the donor requires.
4. Capacity Development, Knowledge Management, and training
โข Act as a resource person for disability inclusion at CUAPWD
โข Build capacity within CUAPWD and OPDs on disability inclusion in humanitarian response.
โข Represent the organization in relevant fora, working groups, and coordination meetings
โข Work alongside OPDs and Persons with Disabilities in the provision of advisory support on disability inclusion; contribute to the capacity strengthening of OPDs to enable them to advocate for and influence humanitarian organizations.
5. Requirements
Essential Requirements.
โข Bachelorโs degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, Disability Studies, or a related field.
โข Minimum of 3 years of experience working in humanitarian or development contexts, preferably with a focus on disability inclusion.
โข Strong understanding of disability rights, inclusion principles, and accessibility standards.
โข Experience in conducting training and capacity-building activities.
โข Excellent communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
โข Ability to work effectively in challenging and insecure environments.
โข Prior experience with humanitarian organizations, particularly with programs that have both national and communityโlevel engagement;
โข Understanding of the humanitarian coordination system
โข Understanding of the rights of Persons with Disabilities and challenges in the humanitarian context and relevant legal frameworks (UNCRPD, IASC Guideline & approach, etc)
โข Theoretical and practical knowledge of key humanitarian standards, i.e., CHS, SPHERE, HIS)
โข Proven skills to plan and facilitate workshops, advocacy activities, etc
Desirable
โข Reliability and availability also outside of regular business hours.
โข Previous exposure in areas of Inclusive Health, Protection, and Humanitarian Advocacy would be an asset.
Languages
โข Proficiency in English (written and spoken). Knowledge of French and local languages is an asset.

Job Summary
The Communication Officer is responsible for implementing CUAPWDโs communication strategy to enhance visibility, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves creating compelling content, managing digital platforms, and ensuring consistent messaging to promote disability inclusion through CUAPWDโs mission and its programs. The officer will work closely with internal teams, organizations of persons with disabilities, persons with disabilities, the media, and partners to amplify the voices of persons with disabilities and promote the mission of CUAPWD.
Main Tasks
1. Strategic Communication & Advocacy
โข Execute CUAPWDโs communication strategy aligned with organizational goals.
โข Produce advocacy materials (press releases, policy briefs, success stories) to advance disability rights and inclusion.
โข Represent CUAPWD in media engagements and public forums to promote key messages.
2. Content Creation & Digital Media Management
โข Design and disseminate content for websites, social media, newsletters, and reports (text, graphics, videos).

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Branding
