Phase 4- Leave No One Behind: Enabling the uptake of the IASC Guidelines on Disability-Inclusion for lasting impact through sidescaling & localization.
The Approach
The exit strategy of the project is based on five components: the localization of expertise and the investment in the functioning of local key stakeholders, the integration of disability inclusion within the existing coordination mechanism and the integration of disability inclusion within the specific Humanitarian tools and processes, the development of tools directly responding to stakeholders demands and the regional engagements with key players
Project objective
The project aims to build the capacities of other Humanitarian actors to identify and support groups of persons with disabilities, recognizing that people with disabilities are not a homogeneous group and taking into account people with differing types of disabilities which are especially marginalized in Humanitarian action (e.g. persons with psychosocial or intellectual impairments, persons with multiple impairments, etc.) while strengthening the capacities of Organization of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to meaningfully participate in the Humanitarian system
Project Outcome
The uptake of the IASC Guidelines on the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action is enabled on the local, regional, and global levels through side-scaling & localization of piloted programming tools, advancement of humanitarian coordination, monitoring of impact on affected marginalized persons, and advocacy to close gaps.
Beneficiaries
The “Leave no one behind” project series is a “Humanitarian-to-Humanitarian” project as opposed to “Humanitarian-to-Beneficiaries”. Therefore, the target groups are humanitarian actors, including OPDs and key actors of the humanitarian system.

Results 4.1: Strengthened mechanisms to support disability inclusive coordination, enhancing the participation of persons with disabilities.
Results 4.2: Facilitated uptake and use of inter-agency toolsets on disability-inclusive programming in key sectors in pilot countries, addressing sectoral gaps.
Results 4.3: Addressed barriers and capacity constraints of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) for meaningful participation in the humanitarian system.
Results 4.4: Integrated disability-inclusion further at the global humanitarian system level through engagement in key groups
